Panties!!!

I should have posted this a while ago, but of course I'm slow on most things right now. This has been the biggest news in our house for the last month. Our little Sicily is POTTY TRAINED!!! Despite the few accidents she's made it into Big Girl Panties!!!! It only took, LOTS OF JUICE!!! LOTS OF DRINKING!!! and LOTS AND LOTS of trips up to the potty. I think the first day we took at least 35 trips up to the potty. Whew was I tired...carrying 25 lbs of little girl and 25 lbs of baby boy in my belly, my knees hurt, back ached and hands were dry from washing them so much. But she did it, dora and princess panties and all!!! And what a cute little squishy bum and chunky thighs. So dang cute!!! Good job Cici!! You are a big girl now!

Big Sister

Sicily LOVES LOVES LOVES her little baby brother. She is ALWAYS trying to touch him, snuggle him, get next to him, take care of him. While it's all nice that she cares, we have to be SO careful leaving Rocco where he is accessible to Cici. The other day I found her doing this by him. I'm so glad that she loves him. She's really been super great which I am so grateful for. She just has sooooo much love to share. She'll sit there saying "look at me, look at me" over and over again. My little sweeties!! Can't be more happy!

Rocco's Blessing

There was a lot that happened the weekend before we left DC. A big day for Ernie graduating and a big day for my tiniest guy being blessed by his amazing daddy. For those of you that aren't Mormon, we bless our babies after they are born (similar to a christening). The blessing is usually given by their father, if they are a member of our church. It usually happens at our church meeting but you can have it done other places as well. We've blessed all three of our kids just within the privacy of our own family and close friends. Rocco's blessing was in our sparse little condo in Alexandria. We didn't even have enough chairs for our friends to sit on. In such a humble setting it was the most beautiful blessing. I don't want to share too much of the experience because it is so special but I will say that watching your husband and close family and friends hold your little child in their arms and present them with a tender blessing from our Heavenly Father i
